About Your Hosts
Your hosts are well established residents of Fredericksburg, Rebecca and Peter.
The Inn first opened in 1995, but it took decades to get there. Rebecca’s grandparents owned the property and lived there in the early 1960’s and 70’s. When they passed away, the estate sold the house while Rebecca attended University of Texas. She was heartbroken and vowed to buy it back. In 1995 that opportunity finally came and she did a major historical renovation on the house and opened Lincoln Street Inn.
Rebecca’s a local Fredericksburg girl who spent lots of her time here at Lincoln Street Inn and she can tell you gobs of stories about catching fireflies and horney toads on this property, bike rides to sleep on top of Enchanted Rock and something about every corner of this quaint town. Peter is an industrial designer. They discovered their shared love of rolling hills and big oaks, wine, travel, art, architecture and design years ago while living in California and moved back to Fredericksburg permanently 4 years ago. They love to cook, make pies, garden and collect art. Together, they have designed all the living spaces both inside and out and are known as the town’s “love birds”. They live in Cardinal House on the property.
